I am involved with local cycling clubs on a voluntary basis and also coach individuals on a one-to-one basis as well as private groups. As a British Cycling "B" Accredited Derny Pacer I can also motor pace riders training and racing on the track.




For groups this can typicaly include schools, cubs or scouts or just groups of friends.

Sessions are planned around the needs of the group but will include specific skills or

Individual coaching is designed around each client's specific needs and goals but will typically include all or some of the following components:


  • Initial face-to-face consultation
  • Fitness testing - based on either heart rate or power
  • Annual plan - updated once during season, if required
  • Detailed daily training updated each week or maximum 14 days
  • Power zones (if training using power)
  • Heart rate zones
  • Analysis of weekly training log
  • Analysis of weekly power data
  • Warm up protocols to suit the rider/specific events
  • Weekly phone contact, initiated by rider
  • Email contact
  • SMS contact - daily for updates e.g. inability to complete training due to rider illness etc.


I don't charge an initial consultation fee but wrap this into the first month's fee. All fees are paid monthly in advance.


To be more involved in connection with specific events or face to face coaching etc. is negotiated separately.
